Kenna Remit – Terms & Condition

1. Definitions

  • App: Kenna Remit mobile application for sending payments.
  • Business Day: Any day we are open for processing transactions.
  • Destination Country: The country where the recipient receives funds.
  • Instruction: A payment or transaction request.
  • Recipient: The individual receiving funds.
  • Payment Instrument: A valid method of payment such as bank account or card.
  • Payment Request: Request from you to initiate a transaction.
  • Payout Amount: Amount received by the recipient after fees & conversion.
  • Prohibited Activities: As restricted by Kenna Remit policies.
  • Sender: User who sends funds via the service.
  • Service Fee: Kenna Remit transaction fee (non‑refundable).
  • Service Provider: Commercial Bank of Ethiopia or partner institutions.
  • Transaction: Transfer of funds.
  • Transaction Amount: Total amount to be transferred.
  • Transaction History: Record of your Kenna Remit transactions.
  • Transaction Request: Your instruction to send money.

2. Paying With Your Card

You may use your card to initiate payments. Funds will be credited to the recipient’s bank account or available for cash pickup where supported. Transactions may currently be processed in USD.

3. User Agreement

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter agreements.
  • Funds are released after approval by your card issuer and our partner banks.
  • Service fees are non‑refundable.
  • You are responsible for accurate transaction details.
  • You may review details before confirming.
  • Total cost and exchange rates will be shown before payment.

4. Our Obligations

  • Provide services with reasonable care and skill.
  • Send notifications for your transactions via SMS or email.
  • Provide transaction confirmation details.
  • Not liable for losses due to compliance with laws & regulations.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and current personal information.
  • Submit valid identification when requested.
  • Provide valid payment instruments.
  • Enter correct recipient information (fields marked * are mandatory).

6. Cancellations, Chargebacks & Refunds

All successful transactions are final and non‑refundable.

  • Chargebacks allowed only for unauthorized transactions per card issuer rules.
  • Once funds are paid to the recipient, transactions cannot be reversed.
